Paris museums quest – a puzzle adventure for curious minds of all ages.
Paris was buzzing with excitement for the Summer Olympiad. Five prestigious museums, including Centre Pompidou, the Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, Musée de l’Orangerie, and Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac, joined forces for ‘Five Museums for the Games: A Puzzle Adventure.’ It was a blend of culture and athleticism.
With my little explorer, we set out for a journey filled with curiosity and excitement. We admired the works of renowned artists like Niki de Saint Phalle, Frida Kahlo, and Claude Monet. And we ended our tour leisurely stroll through the beautiful Tuileries Garden.
Participants begin their unforgettable journey with a special passport, collecting stamps and discovering hidden gems within these cultural treasures. Guided by a detailed map and engaging challenges. They were decoding secret sentences that highlighted the relationship between sports and culture. By conquering each museum challenge, the mysterious secret sentence appears. This sentence was crucial for completing the cultural Olympiad.
This project provides a thrilling and immersive experience for all participants! Even parents accompanying their children eagerly join in, sometimes preparing beforehand, adding to the anticipation and excitement of the journey.
Our adventure started at the Centre Pompidou.
Embracing our inner detectives, we explored Level 5, finding secrets hidden in the museum’s halls. As we walked, we discovered artworks and followed subtle clues leading us to Level 4.
Along the way, we faced challenges such as naming colors and counting socks. But we embraced learning as part of the journey. The main challenge, inspired by Robert Filliou’s ideas, emphasized the importance of creation over perfect execution.
Still feeling courageous, we ventured to the Musée d’Orsay, our favorite challenge, “Earn the Medal,” offered children the chance to explore the fascinating history of medals, tying into the artistic Olympiad theme.
At the Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac, we encountered interesting challenges like ‘Finding the Right Balance’ and ‘Attention to Detail,’ like what’s needed in artistic competitions. Kids got to explore ancient Samurai art and learn about their impressive armor in a compelling way.
As we walked in the Tuileries Garden, we got completely distracted. To be honest, we only completed one challenge. But with its lovely atmosphere, the garden became the ideal spot for playing hide and seek. We found new surprises everywhere we looked.
While completing every challenge wasn’t our main goal, but our journey was filled with learning moments. We aimed to enjoy an absorbing puzzle adventure and spend quality time together. The educational initiative by the museums is outstanding. It’s fun, inclusive, and a powerful learning tool. It sparks children’s curiosity, encourages careful observation, and nurtures critical thinking skills.
This initiative goes beyond bonding with your children, it’s a meaningful opportunity to celebrate Paris’s cultural splendor. By sharing diverse artistic treasures and fostering collaboration among museums. It also deeply connects residents and visitors. Inspired by the spirit of the Summer Olympiad, it highlights Paris’s dedication to sports and culture. Indisputably solidifying its status as a vibrant cultural hub.
